Dr. Craig Barney, DMD, earned his dental degree from Case School of Dental Medicine in 2005. Before coming to DeLand, he spent 17 years as a practice owner in Kennewick, Washington. His clinical experience includes implant and oral surgery, root canal treatment, and Invisalign.
Dr. Barney takes a thoughtful, no-pressure approach to care. If you’ve received a treatment recommendation elsewhere and want another perspective, you can bring in your plan for a free second opinion.
We use iTero digital scanning and cone-beam CT imaging when appropriate. The iTero scanner creates digital impressions for many treatments, while cone-beam CT imaging provides detailed views that support diagnosis and treatment planning.

Dr Barney is an awesome dentist he was very caring, thoughtful, and professional. He made my experience very good I Was not looking forward to my appointment but he made it a Much less painful experience than I anticipated he paid very close attention to make sure that I was never in any pain. Your first appointment typically takes 60 to 90 minutes. We’ll review your medical and dental history, discuss any concerns, take the digital X-rays needed, and complete a comprehensive examination.
After the exam, you’ll receive a clear summary of your oral health. If additional care is needed, we’ll provide a written plan with estimated costs before anything is scheduled.

We’re in-network with Cigna, GEHA, and Aetna. We also file claims and help with billing for all major insurance carriers.
