Dr. Joseph Goodreau, DDS
Dr. Joseph Goodreau, DDS, was born on August 24, 1953, into an Air Force family, spending much of his early life abroad. His formative years included time in Madrid, Spain, and Taipei, Taiwan, with stops in Pittsburgh, Omaha, Tucson, and Shreveport along the way—an upbringing that fostered adaptability and a broad appreciation for people from all walks of life.
Dr. Goodreau graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School in 1971 before attending Loyola University in Chicago, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1975 as a member of the Beta Beta Beta Honor Society. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1979, where he was inducted into the Delta Sigma Delta Honor Society.
While pursuing his studies, Dr. Goodreau worked in the Emergency Room at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, gaining invaluable experience that shaped his approach to patient care. Those years instilled in him a deep sense of compassion and understanding-qualities that have defined his 46-year career in dentistry. His philosophy has always centered on providing exceptional care with honesty, empathy, and respect for every patient.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Goodreau enjoys spending time at the beach, golfing, and cherishing time with his wife, Diane, and their five children. Guided by his belief that “truth is life,” he continues to approach both his personal and professional life with integrity and sincerity.
